Care Instructructions

Thank you for your business!  We look forward to making you a lifelong customer.

Below is a 4-step process on what to do with your newly received suit

1. Remove the White Tack Stitching

The white tack stitching you see on your suit is to protect the suit during transit.  Once removed the suit will begin to conform to your shape.

  1. Shoulders
  2. Boutonniere Hole
  3. Vents
  4. Chest pocket (optional) - only remove if you plan on wearing a pocket square
  5. Jacket Side pockets (not recommended) - only remove if you plan on tucking in the flaps for a 'jet' pocket look

2. Try it on and inspect

If something is amiss with don't worry. We will take care of it during the second fitting.

Our structured suits feature a full canvas that needs to be broken in for proper drape.  If you plan on wearing the suit for your wedding or particular special event try wearing the jacket a couple times to break it in (sometimes we recommend wearing the jacket while sitting on a couch watching tv).  Use a steamer or shower steam bath to then get out any wrinkles.

3. Set-up your second fitting

Please contact your fit specialist and cc support@hallmadden.com to schedule a 2nd fitting.

4. Dry-clean Suggestion

Only dry clean the jacket if you have a spill.  To clean the suit and rid it of wrinkles use a steamer or hang the suit up in the bathroom and let the steam of the shower clean it out.  We highly recommend investing in a nice steamer ($60).

5. ReOrder (optional)
