How we make our custom sweaters

Visit our factory in with co-founder McGregor Madden as he shows our state-of-the-art production in Umbria, Italy. You’ll see start to finish how the sweaters are “printed” from the finest yarns using a 3D knit process that reduces waste and results in a cleaner finish. Your new custom sweater is finished by hand, professionally washed and quality checked before arriving in your closet.

Our custom knitwear looks amazing underneath your Hall Madden blazers and suits. The outfit creates a relaxed refinement when you don’t want the formality of a dress shirt.

What knitwear fabric is right for me?

Step 1: Type of Fabric

Ideal for both the height of winter and the in-between seasons, our extra-fine Australia merino wool is breathable yet warm. It is naturally resistant to stains, odor and grease, so it needs very little maintenance.
The softest, finest wool. S160s yarn from Loro Piana.
Our 85% Turkish cotton with 15% Inner Mongolian cashmere is ideal for high summer and in-between seasons. The cotton brings breathability and the cashmere brings an extra element of softness. Ideal for T-shirts.
Lightweight & breathable with a beautiful sheen. The ultimate summer fabric for a luxury t-shirt or crewneck sweater.
A high-quality blend of 90% Australian wool and 10% Mongolian cashmere. Together this blend creates comfortable knitwear particularly suitable for everyday wear. This yarn is ideal to create knitwear (including accessories) for the colder seasons.
Cashmere is synonymous with luxury and comfort. This ultra-fine natural fibre comes from the fleece of goats found in particular areas of Inner Mongolia. Soft and lightweight with superior insulation, our cashmere is perfect for an autumn or winter look (including a matching scarf and beanie). With special care, a cashmere piece in your wardrobe will last for years to come and improve with age.
A luxury blend of 70% cashmere and 30% silk. Cashmere silk provides a perfect blend of softness, lightness and shine. Combined they craft a sophisticated piece that will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Ideal for many knitwear styles, especially short sleeve knits.
