Men’s Vest 3 Piece Suit

A vest is a nice addition to a suit as it makes a suit more formal when worn with the jacket or can retain a professional aesthetic when worn without the jacket. Wrinkling in dress shirts by the end of the day or wedding is normal so we recommend the vest to all grooms and to the professional in a long-hour working environment.

A vest can also be referred to as a waistcoat and is used for both suits and tuxedos. For formalwear, you might consider a double-breasted or U-shape lapel that cuts lower to show the studs on the tuxedo shirt.

Waistcoats can also be with or without lapels — either peak or notch lapels — that can add some visual interest to the vest when worn without the suit jacket.

Our waistcoats can be made with or without an adjuster strap on the back and also with a fabric or liner back. Additionally, you can have an “odd” vest made in a contrasting fabric that compliments (but doesn’t match) the the suit you’re wearing. This can be a good way to add an accent color or highlight a color in the suit’s fabric from a plaid or overcheck.
